1. What outcomes had you envisioned for this course? Did you achieve those outcomes? Did the actual course outcomes align with those that you envisioned?

I’m not sure what I envisioned for this course. I know that there is so much more out there that what I cover in classes and looked forward to being enlightened. I can say that I was. I was able to learn a great deal about Google docs and other applications just through this course. I’ve briefly covered it in a workshop, but nothing in depth like this and we only scratched the surface.

2. To the extent that you achived the outcomes, are they still relevant to the work that you do in your school? Why or why not?

In a way-no, I do not teach Social Studies nor do I desire to teach fifth graders. I teach middle school level students. So I think I had a bias when the group chose this particular section to cover. I am open minded and try to learn something new all of the time.

3. What outcomes did you not achieve? What prevented you from achieving them?

One of the outcomes we didn’t achieve was an online group chat/meeting. I had connection problems and was there only part of the time, but others did not show. But even so, through e-mails and postings on our group site, we were able to complete the work.

4. Were you successful in completing the course assignments? If not, what prevented or discouraged you?

I was successful in completing most of the assignments. Week two proved to be rough as I didn’t understand what to do. Once I took a breath and a step back, I was able to re-group my thinking process and complete the other assignments.

5. What did you learn from this course: about yourself, your technology and leadership skills, and your attitudes?

There was a lot to learn from this course and I felt I did. The CAST book builder exercise and lesson plan builder really opened my eyes. I was really impressed by the book builder. I will definitely pass this information on to the Language Arts department. Hopefully, we may be able to do a joint project one day.
